Israel Advocacy and Engagement

JCRC offers opportunities that explore the culture and diversity of Israel. Every year, we plan programs for Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut. Some of our national and international partners include the Jewish Agency for Israel, Jewish Federations of North America, and the JCC Association of North America.

Some of our recent past programs include:

  • "Meet the Israelis"
  • Lecture with Israeli and Palestinian alumni of Tech2Peace
  • Resetting the Table workshop
  • "Israel: the Old-New Land" Virtual Reality Educational Tour

Partnership2Gether, a program of the Jewish Agency and the Jewish Federations of North America, promotes personal relationships between 17 U.S. Jewish communities; Budapest, Hungary; and Israel’s Western Galilee region through cultural, educational, social, medical and economic programs. Partnership consists of an inclusive and active network of people focused on the mutual exchange of ideas and programs with the goal of developing relationships to strengthen our global Jewish identity, dedicated to connecting people and making a difference.

Through the P2G programs, our community members can be agents of change and create stronger bonds between the people in our communities. Canton, Dayton, Toledo and Youngstown, Ohio; Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Northwest Indiana and South Bend, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Peoria and Springfield, Illinois; Des Moines, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska; Buffalo, New York; and Austin, Fort Worth and San Antonio, Texas are linked with Budapest, Hungary and Akko and Mateh Asher in the Western Galilee, the most northern part of Israel on the Mediterranean coast.
