Please join us for an introduction to the beautiful synagogues of northern Michigan (yes, there are shuls up north!) and a chance to sample honey from each one’s region – Traverse City, Petoskey, Hancock, Marquette, and Alpena – as we get ready for the upcoming High Holidays. Community members Joel & Linda Beren and Ken & Nancy Newbury, who are members of the Petoskey and Traverse City shuls, respectively, will talk about their experiences of Jewish life in these small communities. Tech Coordinator Tim Hagen will take you on a virtual reality tour of the northern Lower Peninsula and the U.P., and we’ll all enjoy an appropriately-themed dinner, too. It’ll be an evening of Pure Michigan!
