Rivlin tells US Jews of need to stand together against all forms of racism

A meeting was held this week with Jewish groups (virtually) and senior members of the Israeli government. JFNA was also in the meeting which was on U.S.-Diaspora relations. During the meeting, Israeli President Rivlin said: “Anti-Semitism and racism are two sides of the same coin, and we must fight them wherever they appear." He also shared fears that anti-Semitism would grow. The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi Ashkenazi who said: “The sense of mutual obligation between the State of Israel and the global Jewish community is a cornerstone of Israeli diplomacy around the world and for me personally as foreign minister.” Diaspora Affairs Minister Omer Yankelevich addressed the group via pre-recorded video. She said: “This unifying power that we have used as Jews in times of crisis should not evaporate and we need to focus together on things we can build and create.” Read more.
