1,200 Gather at JPro22 Conference in Partnership with Jewish Federations

“JPro22: Going Places, Together“ in partnership with the Jewish Federations of North America is kicking off this evening in Cleveland with 1,200 Jewish communal professionals and 30 community delegations led by local Jewish Federations. The conference marks the first, in-person cross-sector gathering of Jewish communal professionals since the pandemic began.

JPro22 will focus on collaboration while looking at the hard lessons learned during the pandemic, areas where the Jewish community can improve cooperation and innovative tools and practices to break down barriers and navigate collaboration within organizations and across fields. In addition to lively workshops, the conference will feature a day of site visits around Cleveland to innovative projects and organizations that promote equity and diversity and advance social justice. The conference will also be fully integrated with a Jewish, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) lens – including the participation of “Belonging Ambassadors” who have worked closely with conference planners to ensure that these values are fully integrated into every aspect of the conference.

The conference marks the first time that Jewish Federations of North America will unite their two professional conferences, FTPI and FedPro, with JPro’s annual conference, resulting in a more dynamic and diverse event that truly covers the broad spectrum of the Jewish professional sector.

“This conference in itself is an incredible story of collaboration,” said Shira Hutt, Executive Vice President of Jewish Federations of North America. “We melded together JPro’s reach across the Jewish professional sector with Jewish Federations’ vast scale and local expertise, in order to create a richer event that will best serve the needs of our Jewish communal professionals and enhance their capacity to build flourishing Jewish communities.”

“The fact that two months ago JPro22 was already sold out is a testament to the connections we so crave,” said Ilana Aisen, CEO of JPro. “This conference will blend purpose and play to enrich the careers of all those in attendance and to equip them to strengthen collaboration in their organizations and throughout the field.”
